Botanical Richness of the Bystřice Riverbanks

Excursion leaders:

Excursion description: On the banks of the lower course of the Bystřice River, in the Olomouc district of Bělidla, species-rich deciduous forests have been preserved to this day. Join us for a botanical excursion during which we will explore the local flora and map it as part of CNC Olomouc. The excursion route will begin at the pedestrian footbridge over the Bystřice at the end of Kaštanová Street (49°35'45.189"N, 17°16'23.441"E). From there, we will follow the cycle path along the left bank all the way to the end of Bělidla. We will then return to Olomouc via the yellow-marked hiking trail on the right bank and conclude the excursion at the bridge on Hodolanská Street (49°35'46.645"N, 17°16'45.518"E). Along the way, we will see plant species typical of submontane deciduous forests, but enthusiasts of cultivated plant species that have naturalized in the area will also find plenty of interest. The excursion route is 3.2 km long and follows a pleasant, flat terrain.
