Fort Science Olomouc is the first interactive science popularisation museum in Central Moravia. It belongs to the category of so-called science centres, which provide an informal environment for playful exploration of natural and social phenomena.

Fort Science Olomouc is located in a former large artillery storehouse within the Baroque Crown Fortress complex. Its individual exhibitions focus on topics such as water, light and darkness, and the centre also features science workshops and a digital planetarium.

The flagship event of the Olomouc Exhibition Grounds is the largest and oldest flower show in the Czech Republic, with a tradition spanning more than half a century — the Flora Olomouc horticultural exhibition and trade fair. It is held in spring and again in autumn, when it bears the well-known subtitle Hortikomplex.

Each edition of Flora Olomouc attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the exhibition grounds every year. In addition to hosting exhibitions and trade fairs, the Flora Olomouc Exhibition Grounds, thanks to their location close to the city centre, provide an ideal year-round venue for a wide range of professional and social events.
